Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple

My home town is Dambulla. Dambulla Raja Maha viharaya is located in my home town.And it is situated in Matale district.It is located 2 Km to in my home. so far,I have gone there about ten times  now.

Dambulla is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex.It is the largest and most prominent buddhist complex in South and south southeast Asia.

There are five cave temples in there .And there are a total of 153 Buddha statues, there statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses.To the left of the Golden temple is the Rangiri Sri Lanka media network. The Rangiri Sri Lanka rupavahini channel and the radio corporation are also here.

More and more local and foreign tourists visit here daily. So,I think through this we give a large amount of foreign exchange to the country. 

Dambulla is an important shrine in the buddhist religion in Sri Lanka. Actually,this dambulla cave temple contributes to the development and fame of my home town. 

But I think local tourist pollute the environment more than foreign tourists. It is our responsibility to take care of the beautiful public places,adorable places of our country.
